about

Graha ParamitaTravira Air is an ISO 9001:2000 accredited air charter company which has served the air transportation requirements of private, corporate and government clients in Indonesia and throughout the region.

Although most of our corporate clients are primarily in the petroleum, mining and medical industries, we also cater for spot charters by individual customers that wish to explore the exhilarating Indonesian archipelago or the surrounding region at their own leisure and far from the maddening crowd.

Our aircraft fleet is one of the youngest and well maintained fleet in Indonesia.

History

SikorskyOur beginnings started in 1978, when in cooperation with the Indonesian Air Force, we jointly converted twelve Sikorsky UH-34D helicopters from piston-powered R1820 engines into the more modern Pratt & Whitney PT-6 Twin Pac turbines.

Building on our early success, in 1983, Travira commenced the operation of four new S-76A helicopters on contract to IAPCO and ARCO in the Java Sea.

In 1985, the above four helicopters were contracted to Conoco Oil, followed up by Marathon & Gulf Oil (now Star Energy) and Premier Oil. These operations are currently still running on a long-term, multi-year contract.

In 1999, we purchased our first fixed-wing aircraft, a new Raytheon Beech 1900D Airliner, which was then subsequently followed with the addition of two new aircraft in 2002. Happy customers of this aircraft include TotalFina Oil, ExxonMobil and SOS.
